Bulbophyllum Bechinolina (beccarii x echinolabium) ‘Elite’s 1st’

This is a cross with the very rare and giant-leafed but small-flowered beccarii. The result is quite nice with 3-inch flowers that come out sequentially on stems that can have as many as 30 or 40 flowers over a long period of time. Bulbophyllum beccarii has up to 150 flowers per spike but the flowers are quite small. Yes, this plant does have a fragrance or perhaps odor would be the best description, like carrion. The plant has wonderful large wide leaves.

These cuttings are taken as divisions from our mother plants, so the flowers will match the attached pictures.
